1. What Distill Does
Distill is a document-to-flashcard service. You upload a PDF or DOCX file, pay a one-time fee, and receive an AI-generated flashcard deck in Anki (.apkg) or Quizlet (.csv) format. No account is required.
2. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Distill does not store your payment information.
3. Refund Policy
If Distill fails to deliver your flashcard deck due to a processing error, you will receive an automatic full refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Refunds are not issued for successfully delivered decks. If you believe there is an error with your deck, contact us at support@distillknowledge.app and we will review your case.
4. Acceptable Use
You may only upload documents you own or have the right to use. You may not use Distill to process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third party's intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the documents you upload. The flashcard decks generated from your content are yours to use. Distill does not claim ownership over your input or output.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Distill is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated flashcards may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing the output before using it for study or examination purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Distill's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the transaction in question.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
